Steven Pinker on writing clearly
Steven Pinker explains why clear prose depends on seeing the subject from the reader's position and escaping the curse of knowledge.
Why I recommend it
I like that Steven treats clarity as a practical problem. I often know too much about what I am writing and skip links the reader still needs. His examples give me a useful revision check: read closely, cut clutter, and ask what the sentence expects the reader to understand.
